The Australian Government has proposed to pass new laws to restrict the marketing of infant formula in Australia. These new laws aim to protect breastfeeding and the appropriate use of infant formula when it is necessary, based upon accurate information. 

The Government has just completed a large public consultation about what should be included in the new laws. The work to prepare a draft of the bill will begin shortly. MPs who hear directly from constituents now, will be better informed and more confident in championing the strongest possible protections when the bill is debated and voted on.

Let your MP know how important these new laws are to you, so that they will support the bill when it comes before Parliament.
